The Duty Refunds Refer-a-Friend programme is a service where customers and referred customers are rewarded for the referred customer completing a Duty Refunds claim.
A customer known as the “Referrer” and a friend known as the “Referee” will receive a monetary bonus after the successful approval of the Referee's claim from HMRC and subsequent payment of the claim from Duty Refunds. For a definition of “successful”, please keep reading.
The reward is a monetary sum of £10 for the referrer to be paid directly to them and a sum of £5 to be paid to the referee along with the refund of their claim.
The Referee reward is available only to first-time customers of Duty Refunds. The Referee must not have used the service before claiming the referral reward.
A “successful referral” is a referral that results in a claim which gets approved by HMRC and is subsequently refunded to the Referee.
Referral attempts that do not use the referral link mechanism or do not use the Referrerʼs unique code at the time of claim initiation by the referee will not qualify for the reward.
There is no limit to the number of referrals that an individual Referrer can make.
Referral links can be shared by any means online provided that this does not involve paid advertising or the unauthorised use of Duty Refundsʼ brand or intellectual property.
The Referrer and the Referee (friend) canʼt be the same person. Where we identify they are the same person, for example by name, email address, phone number, or bank account, the offer will be void.
This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
Duty Refunds reserves the right to withdraw this offer if, in our judgement, the offer is being abused. Duty Refunds also reserves the right to change or amend the offer's reward and structure at any time. Any decision made by Duty Refunds with regard to this offer is final.
